About us:
Our organization was founded in 1922 and supports blind and partially sighted people in Flanders to promote their autonomy and their integration in society. We strive for an inclusive society.
Over the years we have become a versatile network with a wide range of services, with a focus on disability-specific expertise.
What do we provide:
- Home support: social service, psychological support
- Specialised advice about (high technology) aids, orientation and mobility, everyday activities, low vision and light advice, …
- Rehabilitation
- Guidance towards employment: job search, retention and coaching on the work floor
- Residential living & day care
- A school for adult education
- Advice on digital and physical accessibility
- Sensibilisation of the wider public
- Services to convert books in braille and audiobooks
Target group:
Our target group are blind and visual impaired adults and elderly.
