Background

Clients often report that available assistive devices, even those funded by the government, don’t meet their individual needs or adapt over time, leading to underuse and reduced quality of life. Sometimes, no suitable device exists at all. Therefore, it is important that ENVITER continues to focus on knowledge to create or adapt assistive devices within our organizations. Many organizations in our network have expressed interest in creating custom assistive devices with hand made prototypes, which helps increase client independence and improve the work environment for staff. However, daily responsibilities prevent staff from learning and sharing prototyping skills effectively.

Project goal

With Erasmus+ support, we aim to further develop and share our prototyping expertise, focusing on Assistive Devices in daily living activities (ADL). Using a bottom-up approach, we will address client challenges, abilities, and needs through accessible prototyping techniques.
This project aligns with Erasmus+ values, including inclusion, diversity, civic engagement, and enhancing staff competencies. Our goal is to promote equal opportunities, increase social engagement, and empower staff to better support people with disabilities.
